a) Account information:
When you create an account or sign in (via magic link, email/password, or Google OAuth), we collect your email address, name (if provided), and basic profile metadata.
b) Submission data:
Product name, pitch, category, waitlist/website URL, screenshot, logo, and any optional self-reported metrics or links provided during submission.
c) Usage data:
Standard technical information including page views, referring URLs, browser/device characteristics, and approximate geographic region derived from IP addresses.
d) Payment information:
Payments for promoted listings or subscriptions are handled directly by our third-party payment partner (Dodo Payments). We never store or have access to your full credit card or banking details.
We do not collect, store, or have access to the email addresses or personal information of people who join a waitlist featured in our gallery. All visitor signups occur entirely on the respective founder’s external website or landing page.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Operate and display the gallery, leaderboards, and embed badge services.
- Authenticate users and manage product submissions.
- Send essential transactional notifications (such as magic links and account alerts).
- Detect and prevent spam, malicious bot activity, or artificial leaderboard manipulation.
- Process billing for optional promoted placements.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data based on your consent (when you register or submit a product), the necessity to perform our contract with you (providing gallery and account services), and our legitimate interests in maintaining platform security, integrity, and performance.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on established service providers to maintain the Service, each operating under their respective privacy policies:
- Hosting & Compute: Vercel and cloud infrastructure providers
- Database & Authentication: Supabase and PostgreSQL
- Email Delivery: Resend (for transactional emails from waitlistgallery.com)
- OAuth Providers: Google (when you select “Continue with Google”)
- Payment Processing: Dodo Payments (for optional featured promotions)
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies strictly for session authentication and security (keeping you signed in). We do not use third-party cross-site tracking cookies. You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings, though doing so may prevent logging into your account.
6. Data Retention
Account and product submission details are retained for as long as your account remains open or your listing is active. You can request deletion of your account and submitted data at any time.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account, listings, or associated data.
- Object to or restrict specific processing activities.

8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for founders, builders, and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information, please contact us for immediate deletion.

Information may be hosted and processed in cloud data centers located in regions where our infrastructure providers operate. We take all reasonable measures to ensure data is handled securely and in compliance with this policy.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and secure database access controls. While no system can claim 100% invulnerability, we continuously monitor and protect our infrastructure against unauthorized access.
